Our Design Process
The Davis Media Company provides all design templates for print and digital media products at no charge to our association partners. These templates establish an association’s brand and visual identity, including its esthetics associated with the style, color preferences, font choices and layout appearance.
Each product we produce together is assigned a print/digital publication title and an associated nameplate (a recognizable logo/emblem for the product). It is essential we follow your association’s branding guidelines to ensure consistency and recognition to members as an association product. Upon the execution of the editorial planner and approved articles for inclusion, we then select the appropriate cover lines to create immediate interest in the key features and departments within the particular issue/edition.
Upon the material closing deadlines for all advertising and editorial content, your print and/or digital media product is immediately sent to production for layout. Following the agreed-upon templates and branding guidelines, our design professionals work tirelessly to create a first-class product with visual appeal at the forefront of their creative process, which we deliver to you for review and approval.
Once your media product is designed, we provide each association partner with a complete proof for review by any and all parties within your association to provide a set of edits, changes, additions and/or deletions from the work. We then provide a secondary proof for final review and require all association partners to sign off on the approved edition prior to distribution. This ensures the final product meets and exceeds all association requirements and quality expectations.
